Cancellation Process
You can cancel the auto-renewal function within your Nat Geo Kids account (see FAQ: How can I view my subscription details? on how to access) or by contacting the customer service team.
If you are experiencing any issues or believe you are entitled to a refund after reading the below, please contact our customer service team via the 'submit a ticket' button at the top of the page.
Cooling-off period
If you change your mind for any reason and decide you do not want to subscribe to one of our publications, you may cancel your subscription by contacting us as set out below as follows:
- Magazine only (e.g. National Geographic Little Kids): you must contact us within 14 days of receipt of the first magazine.
- Digital and magazine (e.g. National Geographic Kids): you must contact us before the earlier of the date you access any digital content and 14 days of receipt of the first magazine. This means that once you access the digital webreader, you cannot cancel your subscription.
If you cancel your subscription having received the first magazine, then within 14 days of your notice to cancel, you must send the magazine back to us at the address below at your own cost and risk. Please also make sure you package the magazine appropriately to avoid damage. If you do not return the magazine, or do not pay the costs of returning it to us or the magazine is damaged on receipt we should be entitled to deduct from the amount to be refunded the costs of the first magazine.
If any incentive or add-on product is received before cancellation is actioned in accordance with our Cancellation Policy, you will be offered a partial refund minus the product value unless the product is returned to us at your cost in the same condition as it was received.

Continuous subscriptions
If you choose an auto-renewal product, your magazine subscription will automatically renew for another term at the standard rate for the matching subscription term at the time of renewal, unless cancellation is requested. Please review our standard rates by clicking here. You may request to cancel the auto-renewal of your subscription via your online account or by emailing via the 'submit a ticket' button at the top of the page before each renewal date, with such cancellation to take effect at the end of the current running subscription term.
You will be sent an email reminder 30 days before renewal is due and before payment is taken (introduced 16/10/2024) and then you will be notified by email once a successful renewal has taken place and payment has been debited.
Please note the right to cancel in the cooling-off period does not apply to the renewal terms of your subscription, therefore if cancellation is requested once the auto-renewal has been processed and after the renewal payment has been debited, you will not be entitled to a refund.
Cancelling part way through a subscription term
If you request to cancel part way through your subscription term, we will continue to send any remaining issues you have left within your subscription term – we do not offer a remains value refund unless you terminate within the initial cooling-off period.
Please note, if the auto-renewal feature is deactivated via your online account or via email, no automatic renewal invitation email will be received.
